The layout makes full use of its elevated setting, offering dramatic views and a traditional test of golf in a stunning natural landscape. This is true downland golf – exposed, undulating and affected by the wind - and the well-draining chalk soil means the course fares comparatively well in the winter.
Spectacular panoramic views from Guildford Cathedral to Wembley Arch
Measuring a mere 6,610 yards, Guildford isn’t long but it’s tough to play to handicap
A good option for Friday tee times
